Marine Engineering Workforce, Mobilised

Marine Engineering Workforce, Mobilised

Coded welders, marine fitters, ETOs and engineers — pre-qualified against your exact certification requirements, document-verified, and ready for drydock, refit, offshore and newbuild programmes.

Why Marine First

Osbrooks launched in marine engineering deliberately. It is the sector we know best — eight years of specialisation and 200+ contractors deployed — and it is the hardest test of any screening engine: certification-dense, safety-critical, and brutally intolerant of a welder who can’t actually weld to the code on his card. If a qualification process survives marine, it survives anything. Ours does, and we publish the numbers to prove it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every claim a candidate makes on the qualification call is reconciled against the paperwork before you ever see the profile.

1. Can you support shutdown or refit peaks at short notice?2026-09-28T15:38:04+00:00

Yes. We can help employers scale technical teams for planned shutdowns, refits and short-notice workforce requirements, subject to availability and mobilisation requirements.

2. Do you verify weld codes or just collect certificates?2026-09-28T15:38:35+00:00

We verify the details. We check the relevant code, process, position, validity and supporting documentation rather than simply collecting a certificate.

3. Do you supply seagoing or yard-based workers?2026-09-28T15:38:29+00:00

Both. We support seagoing roles as well as yard, drydock, fabrication and marine-based projects.

4. Who employs the worker?2026-09-29T15:36:48+00:00

The employment arrangement is clearly defined before mobilisation. The employer/client is responsible for the agreed employment or engagement terms, while Osbrooks does not charge workers for placement.

5. What happens if a tradesman fails a site weld test?2026-09-28T15:39:06+00:00

The result is recorded and reviewed with the employer. Where appropriate, we can identify a replacement candidate based on the required qualification and test criteria.

6. Which languages do you screen candidates in?2026-09-28T15:39:16+00:00

Candidates are screened in the language they can communicate professionally in, with English capability assessed where it is required for the role, site or safety procedures.
